For us to get some knowledge about the topic, we researched and look for some websites that can help us to understand more about it. Here are the websites we used:
Then there are questions asking about our topics that we answered which are:
Who is affected? Everyone is affected because we are in one community. Women, men. adolescents and children.
What are the issues? Kinds of domestic violence like physical abuse, sexual abuse and etc. The increasing number of death and suicide because of domestic violence.
When did this start and how has it progressed? So we didn’t know when did this started but we are sure that domestic violence has happened back in old times, in the era of our old old old old ancestors. As time passes by, people inherit this act.Example: In Ancient Civilizations The Code of Hammurabi is the oldest written legal code known to exist. In it are provisions for disciplining a wife and children by the husband/ father.
Where is this happening? This happens worldwide. But according to the national surveys, the percentage of women being physically assaulted in New Zealand is 35%.
Why is this happening? Domestic Violence is happening because of the build-up tensions and a breakdown in communication.Stress and state in life or poverty are one of the biggest reason why domestic violence happens.
After that, we created a solution how to solve it.
We wanted to inform everybody that we millennials are one of the responsible for the problem and we also are trying our best to give everybody what they deserve. This quote from a story which is "He's Into Her" really inspired me to continue this project and it is the quote" Nobody deserves to be hurt, but someone can hurt you more than you deserve". This quote really summarizes our topic. It is just a simple quote but it really captures a heart .We desired to create a path to every victims of domestic violence which will lead them for their freedom and happiness.
