Problem with Plastics

SOURCE: http://chinadivide.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/chinese-officials-discarding-melamine-tainted-milk.jpg

Melamine is a kind of chemical and it is primarily used in the production of plastics. Playing a role in the industry, melamine is utilized in the various makings such as glues, adhesives, molding compounds, coating, and flame retardants. Interestingly, the chemical is also high in nitrogen which is responsible for making protein. China that time was in the midst of mess, whereas adulteration is widespread in the nation. Adulteration refers to the inclusion of milk volume by adding water and caused to lessen the concentration of protein in which melamine was their solution to their problem. While the parents are feeding their children with a mixture of toxic chemical, the consequences affected their children to suffer from kidney stones and kidney failures.

There are 1 out of every 5 companies in China were involved in a scandal where they put melamine in their milk infant products. Sanlu Group avowed that they deliberately applied melamine in their products to increase the protein apparent content of the milk powder. The unlawful use of melamine was not approved by the authorities even refused by the FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius. Aiming for money, the culprits have forsaken the fact that the babies were at stake. If this toxic chemical was used for milk products, it is not impossible that there is a usage of melamine to other products. Prioritizing health safety must intensify.

Remarkably, the contamination in milk last 2008, affected nearly 300,000 babies sickened with more than 150 babies were reported as worse cases and unfortunately, 6 infants died. Citizens in China, especially parents, were enraged and frightened in this scandal saying that they didn’t think of milk companies —specifically as Sanlu Group— can market poisonous products. What’s worst in this situation is that after years of this scandal, melamine ruined someone's life again. Enduring the deteriorating pain, a 13-year-old boy primarily had his kidney stone since when he was three and he still has it until 2013. Paying for what they have done, the previous Sanlu’s group chairwoman and 3 others received sentences: life imprisonment for chairwoman and death sentences for the three. The deliberate mistake they did had made many people suffer.

Fonterra, a company that is located mainly in Auckland, was involved in the melamine scandal that happened last 2008. There were 22 companies that market poisonous milk powder where Sanlu Group- a prominent company that centered the issue- was owned by Fonterra. Fonterra holds 43% of Sanlu Group which makes it no way not to be related to the problem. On August 2, 2008, Fonterra gave orders to Sanlu Group for them to examine their products as they were malicious articles about their products. Without expectations, the scandal exploded and burst internationally. Sanlu Group had caused  $139 million loss and Fonterra mentioned that it cannot help the company.

The melamine scandal that occurred last 2008, remains a nightmare for the victims in China. Companies that were involved that time were urged to execute the illegal use of melamine to cover up the crisis they were facing—adulteration. Melamine is a chemical that provides many purposes in our industry but it’s also a toxic substance that causes failures in the kidney and could affect humans for a long term. The scandal became more prominent because it targeted innocent babies. After all of the trouble that melamine has caused- there are other issues relating to melamine prior to the melamine scandal in China- shouldn’t we ban it?. The thing is melamine is not the problem, it is the people who are desperate to gain money and these people don’t care who and what they are affecting.

Making The Right Decision

INTRODUCTION

Long time no blog everybody. We've been spending 3 weeks on our passion projects and I think that's 24 hours all in all. If you don't know what's my passion project, I'm going to say it again, it's Maths Craft. The question is... was it worth it to choose?

To have an update and have ideas to what we are doing in our Maths Craft, here's the link to our maths craft website. You are going to see there come students making some amazing crafts and the resources we've used for our project. I could say we have done many things for those three weeks. I've already mentioned Menger Sponge and Mobius Strip as examples. That's not all. There are fun, cool, and interesting activities we completed.

Here are some photos (google) of some we did:

Flexagon

Origami
Meanders
String Art

What are they?

Flexagons- these are 2d shapes that are folded or 'flexed' and will show different faces

Here's a video of me flipping a flexagon

String Art- the name says it all guys. Basically, you use string or wool to produce or create amazing shapes or  anything,

In this area, you can use the power of parabola. As you can see beneath this texts, there is the diamond shaped and triangle string art where I applied parabola producing these amazing crafts.

Examples of my work on this activity

Origami-  this is pretty much the most popular one. The iconic paper folding that will form into something creative like the cube above, cranes, animals, flowers and etc.

Meanders-  we discussed that this art is related to many things not only in math but also in our environment and in ancient times. Meanders are patterns just like this:

If you are familiar with transformations in maths like translation, rotation, and reflection, then you got this.

REFLECTION ( of the overall project, not the kind of transformation)

Joining this project was the right decision for me. I am enjoying it. They let me do what I want to do for my final craft in this project. My pursuit for this passion project is really big. The effort I am lending for my passion is worth it. Yes, is the answer to the question in my intro part. It is worth it to be picked. And I am happy selecting maths craft as my passion project.

Maths Craft

This Monday and today, we have started the Passion Project. I chose Maths Craft for my passion. And luckily, this project didn't disappoint me. Last time, we did the Mobius strip and Menger sponger which looks like this ( examples):

MOBIUS STRIP
MENGER SPONGE

Today, we did flexagon and origami. Here are some photos:

I will wait for you

I will wait for you

The park has been my buddy. I never got tired of wandering over this place. And it seems that there is a specific spot that is destined to be mine. An old gazebo. The woods in this gazebo were full of scratches and torn up strips. The pathway through the gazebo is layered with fallen leaves, leaves that are crunchy when being stepped on. Vines are engulfing the once rigid timber. I can discern that this has been isolated for a long time. Strange but I can sense the elegance in it.

Since then, that gazebo made a way through my heart. Could say that almost every day my existence is there. But of course, I didn’t stay there to do nothing. I am passionate about painting so I paint there. While it is raining is the moment I love to paint. The pitter-patter on the top of the gazebo calms my mind. Giving me inspiration and the motion in my hand becomes smooth and light letting my creativeness flow through it.

Staying there habitually doesn’t mean the place was owned by me. Surprisingly, someone had discovered my happy place. I was startled at first but soon as I heard the soothing voice together with the fine strumming of the fingers in the guitar making it’s way to my eager ears, I was left cherishing the moment.

“ You know, I deserve a clap.” deep and foreign voice pulled me back to reality. As I open my eyes- which I unconsciously did while I was under the spell of someone’s angelic voice- I am already in front of the gazebo facing a guy in his early 20’s, staring at me waiting for me to say or do something.

I blinked first before clapping. “ Aha. HA. HA. HAHAHAHAHA!” me laughing awkwardly. “ I was astonished by your sweet voice and I was carried away, sorry. “ Then I bite my lower lip due to embarrassment.

He smirked. “ Cute.” he whispered which I didn’t clearly hear.

“Sorry? What was that? “ I asked him innocently.

“ Uhmmm, why don’t you sit?.” not answering my question but I quickly sit in the side chair that is adjacent to his chair and I am maybe 5 feet away from him.

“ Is it your first time here?.” I asked him.

“ Actually, no. I was here in the past too. It’s just things in my life got messed up and I can’t go anymore to visit this amazing place. And fortunately, I am back.”  he answered.

So I am not the one that got here first? Of course, Raylie, what are you thinking?. I just got attached too much with this place that I want to keep it mine and I thought no one’s—

       — “ How about you? Why are you here?” breaking my thoughts.

“ Well, I found this place 2 months ago and I was captured by how beautiful and peaceful it is. Then after that, it became my habit going here every day. And of course, my passion, painting. I do painting here.” responding to his questions.

“You too? Me too, that also popped in my mind after spotting this place. In contrast to your passion though, I sing. I sing to reduce my overflowing and excruciating pain in my inside. I can let all my feelings through singing which I can’t do in my own home and it is a blessing for accidentally stopping over this gazebo.” him telling freely about his reason for staying in this place. I somehow feel him.

“ I find tranquility in here and I am so grateful that this gazebo for making me feel this way, emptying my worries and agony. Even more grateful that you’re here.” he jokingly said the last one.

“ Did you think I’ll stay? Here? With you?.” I asked him challengingly.

      “ You will.” he declared

“ Oh what a confidence.” I loudly spoke in front of him with disbelief.

“Are you going then?” he suddenly questioned me.

“ I’ll first look if you deserve to have someone sharing with this lovely gazebo. If you are a decent person, then I’ll stay.” me not losing to his over-confident statement.

“You won’t get disappointed.” he’s assured me.

The conversation went over and over until the time has come for me to temporarily abandon the place. We bid our farewells to each other not minding if tomorrow will our souls meet again.
Weird but I feel warm towards him. When we talk to each other, it seems like we’ve known each other for a long time. That the moment we had our conversation we felt like we are not strangers but two people having their talk after ages of separation. There is somehow a telepathic connection between us that our personalities suddenly clicked whereupon I didn’t know why it happened.

Obviously, just looking at the treatment we are giving unto each other, we got closer. We built friendship and bond. A bond that grows stronger the more we meet. The irresistible laughs and smiles when we are together, unstoppable jokes and teases, the secrets we made just for us, all the chatters about our miserable lives, heartening and motivating words we expressed drove us to enjoy life, even more, the passions we shared are all precious. The gazebo is a witness of our cherished moments.

My life has never been delighted before. Me doing my passion made me satisfied and contented with my life and not even once did I expect that there will be another reason for me to feel even happier. And he’s the reason. He swiftly enlightened my life. Where I live is not dark but it became brighter when he appeared that my place was dull since then. He made me happy and I wish I made him happy too.

Happiness doesn’t take too long. That’ what I realized when I came to back to the gazebo noticing that there is something that is missing. Him. He’s gone. Usually, he is earlier than me but that time, I came first attending in my regular arriving time. I stayed calm. I hushed myself and remained to wait. At the end of that day, all that was there were me and the quiet gazebo. He vanished.

I waited. And waited. And waited. The wind passed through my face. The silence of the surroundings is unknown. That silence used to be the laughter and voices of two people babbling. Isn’t so sad but so pathetic at the same time?. I gave my heart to someone that ran away from me. And now I am alone and a mere person that diligently awaits for a someone that used to be the someone that stayed beside me. I am not 5 meters away from his seat. I am in his spot. Reminiscing the memories made together. Priceless. Special. Irreplaceable. Loved. It’s you. I will wait for you.

These things are a lot if you buy once but as time passes by, they start to get lost. Will make you crazy for searching them all over the place.

Earpods

If the volume is super high, you won't hear anything from your surroundings. People will think you as deaf temporarily.

Lipstick
WARNING
It might stain your teeth.

Perfume
CAUTION
The smell stays long, might poke your nose. Few sprays are advised.

Bed
WARNING
This thing is a seductive one. Can cause you to pull back and sleep again. A trap that once you lay on, your eyes will shut. Stay 5 meters away.

Mirror
CAUTION
Facing into this will show you a reflection of an ugly creature. Try not to self-talk when looking into your reflection, it's silly.

Compare and Contrast

Although the sun and moon are both lights in our days and nights, they are not the same. The sun's purpose for us is to brighten up and generate energy for our body to do
activities in our life. With the presence of the sun, we are active and alive.
In contrast, moon arises in the middle of darkness to inform us that our day is finish and time for peace and sleep. The light it is giving unto us befits the serene night.
While the sun and the moon are huge benefits in our life: one that makes us passionate about living and the other gives us a sense of halt to prepare for what's next tomorrow, the sun will always be the choice of everyone.

King of Excuses

You cannot make me sing
For singing is not my thing
I have a problem with my larynx
That my voice can even break bricks

I'll just sing rubbish
Will make you say shhhhhhh!
It's not worth to hear
It'll shed you to tears

Even my parents restrain
They said " what is she doin'?
So please don't force me to
Your ears are in danger, so it's up to you

My City is a Person

Serene, warm, home. My city is the place of my belonging. Every time I take one step over it, it feels like it is beside me and walking with me. It has every part that makes as a whole, like a body. And every part of it has an important function.

There's the heart, the garden. This is the center of my city. Every inch of it is what I love. My happiness, you can find it there. Without this place, my home will not be complete. It'll not breathe, it's not alive. Trees, flowers, bushes, all of it makes my heart sing. The wonderful pathway that leads to the flower paradise. Fragrance keeps lingering on my nose. Whenever I am there, it's hugging me feels like it is whispering in my ear and says that it loves me too. I am thankful for the way the wind sways the tree, the tweet of the birds filling the surrounding with peace sounds, the sun's light that brightens gives a radiant vibe. My euphoria.

If you walk over the stairs and see that fancy and majestic structure, lies ahead is the brain of my city. The library is my source of knowledge. The place where you don't need to go outside to explore. An area that helps you escape the reality and travel through dimensions. Every shelf, different feelings, different settings. Giving you a collection of different genres. What is your style? romance? is it fantasy? maybe fiction or non-fiction?. Here while my eyes are wide open and read, I can traverse with only a book in my hands. Well, if I want something new to learn, books don't fail to awe me.
Even reality can astound me sometimes. That's how books teach me. Books can give me more than I want. They say "Ignorance is bliss" however, for me, whenever I am in this special place, I earn wisdom.

Can You Hear It?

The rapid tap of the keyboard here and there. Heat pump's calm releasing warm air and the noise that it's producing. Indistinct voices are trying to hide to not disturb someone's teaching in the front. In the corner, the headphone that is connected to a gadget creates a bee sound but actually is a song. Hidden snore is somewhere in the room, however, no matter how it is trying to make it a secret, a snore is a trap. Secret conversations, indistinguishable noises, a song sounding like a bee, all of them are trying to keep not to be loud for the sake of everyone. Once they are heard by someone in the front, it'll ruin the moments.

What place is this?

Volcanic Research (Week 3)

WEEK 3 Research

How people reacted/ actions:
Before ( warning and preparation)
During ( deaths, rescue. help in and out of the area)
After search and rescue/ rebuild / memorials and etc.

TIMELINE

Before

January 13
The volcano started to expel ashes in the air on January 13 in which phreatic ashes eruption was reported.

January 14
On January 14 in the evening, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHILVOLCS) declared Mayon Volcano’s alert level from 2 to 3. This means the volcano has increased the propensity to hazardous eruption. People were assigned to stay at their home, wear masks and be alert while the government was monitoring the volcano.

January 15
After that day, the volcano has started to spew lavas and ashfalls throughout the villages in the municipalities of Camalig and Guinobatan in the southwest of the volcano.

A total of 5,318 families and that’s 21,823 people have been displaced. In 18 evacuation centers, there are 4,134 families staying on January 15.
According to CNN Philippines, PHIVOLCS director, Renato Solidum said

January 16
January 16, the volcano continued to expel lava and it causes a lot of events such as rockfalls, landslides, and sudden explosions or dome collapse. PHIVOLCS suggested residents in 25 villages, in 3 municipalities and 2 cities to do a precautionary evacuation.

Mayon spews more than 3000 tons of sulfur dioxide on January 16. This day Albay was declared as under state calamity whereas the government decided to use their calamity savings forrelifer operation.
The Army started to pick up families using military trucks.

January 18
January 18, the Social Welfare and Health Departments lend PHP 22 million for relief aid for evacuees.

January 22
Mayon Volcano was announced to be on alert level 4 which within days of weeks, an imminent eruption is expected.

DURING

January 23
The day Mayon Volcano erupted and was reported that it took 40 mins. Alert level 5 is now over Mayon.
Since January 13,, the government started to announce the danger zone and they are still extending it in this period of time.
Source:https://globalnation.inquirer.net/163682/volcanos-earthquakes-ring-fire-alight

All flights from and to Legazpi were canceled.

This is the map where it shows the danger zone. Danger zone has extended 8km from the mountain.

AFTER
January 24

The Australian government proclaimed that they are going to lend AUS$775,000 to give help to evacuees.

Because of the compact and stiff evacuation area, people are now catching diseases. Unfortunately, the evacuation areas are overpopulated so the diseases easily spread all over.

January 25
The National Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) stated that the relief aid cost a total of 28,989,392 PH money.

January 26
Once again, Mayon Volcano showed its power. Estimated 25 million of volcanic material was discovered.

In 56 barangays or village, there are around 86,000 residents and were victims of the eruption.

Reported about 94 million worth of agricultural crops were devastated because of the eruption.
Vast rice plantation with about 3,156 hectares was ruined. Many farmers are left without a source of income.

January 27
President Rodrigo Duterte spoke up about the event happening in Albay. He said that he will come to Albay it’s just about the problem in the aircraft. He said, "It's the wind current you have to worry about because it will bring the ashes to where you are,". And added, "But if it's safe to go there, and even if it's not, you give me the space to land, if I'm cleared, I'll go there, in about one or two days."
He assured Governor Bichara, governor of Albay, that he will support Albay.

January 28
Drastically, the volcano erupted four times again. Lahar or mudflows are expected to spread over the town. President Duterte promptly gave PHP 20M to Governor Bichara and eventually stated that he will lend PHP50M.

For more info:

A total of 65 Schools, 72,166 Learners, and 2,732 DepEd Personnel located within
the 6-9 kilometer Permanent Danger Zone were affected.

The alert level 4 within the volcano didn’t change until on March 6 where PHIVOLCS lowered it into alert level 3.

March 25
Residents were allowed to come back to their respective homes as the government declared downgrade of an alert level from 3 to 2.

Shockingly, the volcano didn’t stay quiet and it blasted again in July.

'There's no time to relax. Even if the volcano looks calm from the distance, from our instrument, the volcano is still in abnormal condition,' says Phivolcs resident volcanologist Ed Laguerta

Makey Makey!

INTRODUCTION
It's been a while since my last blog about my DTE learning. Here I am again to tackle the topic and the project we've been working on the last term and until 2 weeks of this term. So our topic is about Makey Makey. So what is a makey makey?. Makey makey is a tool where people can use it to connect everyday objects to computer programs. (below is the photo in the DLO part) So to make it work you will need the makey makey, wires, usb cable, and a conductor ( can be you! cause you yourself is a conductor).  You need these things to create a circuit and then you will see how it works.

What are we going to do with the makey makey?. Mr. Carter assigned us to research on how can we use makey makey. Then we chose what ideas we wanted to make out of makey makey and we'll create it by ourselves.

DLO
We decided to do a controller. Heart-shaped controller specifically. And here it is:

Here's the plan

REFLECTION
Actually, our controller is not yet finished and it's not yet tested if it will work. Our original plan wasn't like this. The first plan is to create a controller and just put foil all over the bottom of the controller to make it easier and it will just one wire. But that made our problem. Mr. Carter showed that perspective to us and he helped us how to solve it. The point is to separate foil every button. Why? Because if we are going to use one foil, with one tap in a button all of them will work and we want is for buttons to work by themselves with one tap without affecting the other buttons. It seems complicated, yes, we found it like that too but it was making sense. We reversed the plan. We decided to cut some pieces of foil enough to cover the buttons. That solved the problem :).

Our supposedly next step is to decorate it and to actually use it in a game but we lacked time. But it's alright because I found out that Devie ( one of my groupmates) worked on how to make it work. And she managed to check it and it worked. If only we really had time, I could say that it would be successful but it's undone.

RESOURCE
The resources that we used are tools such as cardboard, scissors, tape, foil, pencil, wires, and clay.

QUESTION
Have you checked out Makey Makey? Why not try it?

Horror Camping Trip

The day has finally come that we're going to have our own trip. Me, Maine and Rhan are the best friends of all. We planned so many time to go on the best friends trip but it was always postponed as we are still focusing on our studies and our parents didn't allow us to go. I can't still believe it that we are truly having this day.

The smile hasn't wiped off in our face since we found out the good news. What's surprising is that our parents set this trip. They discussed and talked to each other. Well, haven't I told you that my parents and Maine's and Rhan's parents are best friends too? Amazing isn't it?. Curiously, I asked them what changed their minds to let us have our dreamed trip because I know that they are really strict to me. And they said that life is full of stressful and gloomy moments so mind to enjoy our teen life first before we go through the hole of problems. I never asked again. Too much joy was flowing into my blood.
We packed up things we needed. From the small and easy things such as
hygienic and clothes to the biggest necessity which is the vehicle that we're going to use, the jeep. I don't know what model this is but I know it is a jeep. Rhan is in her legal age and so as she has her own license already. She's the driver.

From start to finish of our road trip, we've been singing all the way. Laugh here, tease there. It's pure happiness. After the long ride, we halted. We have to walk 3 miles because vehicles can't go in. Wasn't a good idea but worth it. Seeing trees and plants makes me feel safe. The place, it was a forest and it gives me an eerie feeling but I still choose to go because it might be just a negative first impression.

And I was right. I was right that it's just my intuition. The forest was actually the place I would like to go. The sounds of the birds chirping as they fly through above our heads. Nearby was the river that proudly shows its crystal clear water and its calmness that blends with the ambiance of the forest. The natural sounds that truly shows me the world; plugging me out of the toxic dimension of society. We spent all of the daytime doing activities such as hiking, sight-seeing, animal observing, gather the woods for later and built the tent.

The night took over the daylight. Enthusiastically, we hurriedly bunched up together and surrounded the bonfire. We, trios, love to express our secret and dreams together. But that time shooked the tree of us when Maine had revealed something.

"Something was going on my mind for a while." Maine had her start off.
" Is it about studying? If that's the case, please not now " I mockingly said.
"I've been wanting to tell you this but I know you would've freaked out. There's a hungry thing inside me that wants to tell my biggest hidden truth." she continued as she ignored me.

"You sounds like absolutely horrific right now."  Rhan nervously uttered.
Maine smiled and you can sense the hesitation in her eyes but she is desperate to reveal her secret. " I have a third eye." popping out the bubble of her secret and it's now the truth is released.

We fell silent, But she kept on going.

" I was born with this and ever since I can see something that a normal person can't. I hated it when I realized that this ability of mine is that me seeing creatures that are so awful and frightful. Until the time came that I just have to embrace it and just let it be. I still hate it but I feel sad that those what I see are lost souls and I can't help them." still we are in awe.

" Even here in this forest, I can see new lost souls but I don't want to say it to you because it would spoil the camp and trip" she confessed. We looked up to each other and ran to the tent. Not minding the foods that we left beside the bonfire.

We didn't sleep that night until in the morning. The two of us, Rhan and me, didn't grasp the revelation at first yet we managed to ask for more information about Maine's ability. We were so close to each other and there was a time that I have to pee but I can't go outside alone so we together slowly walked outside the dark. Cowardly, we entered the tent again as we heard something in the bush.

That day will be remembered as it was the creepiest time of my life,

Show, Don't Tell

As the breeze caresses my face, your fragrance unifies
Slowly, I lift my gaze to you and I feel something cries
It was my heart that is complaining
Drops of bliss, it's raining.

Chorus:
This is how it goes, like a river flows
Your love is never ending
And for me, it is a great blessing
My heart is always yours

The loud thud my heart makes
Of when the existence of yours and mine
Meet and collide
Together create a bond and they embrace

What emotion of the character in the poem conveys?

Sentence Starter Writing

“With great power comes great responsibility”

With the help of the Tree's body, the Lipad bird family is safe to stay there. Great friendship between the Tree and Lipad family is really unbeatable that even storm can't drag them down. Power, the power of the love they give to each other is unconditional and Lipad family being there is the best thing that Tree ever had. "Comes, no I mean come to me little birdies." said Tree in their first meeting. " Great and beautiful nest is waiting for you here. There were some birdies that built nests here but unfortunately, they migrated and I'm looking for someone to occupy the nest." pleaded Tree to the Lipad family. Responsibility is what Tree felt that time as he knows that the moment the Lipad family accepted his offer, he made responsibility to take care and secure them as long as they live in his parts.

Volcanic Eruption Research pt.2

I had time to edit a video after my research in Social Studies. Here's the video:

Volcanic Eruption Research

A volcanic eruption is one of the extreme natural events that occur on our planet.  It happens because there is a hot liquid rock called magma that forms in the mantle of the earth’s layer and rises, could be because of too much pressure, and break through the crust then it creates an eruption. One of the examples of a volcanic eruption is the Mayon Volcano eruption which just happened last January this year. The Pacific Ring of Fire plays a big role in why volcanic eruptions occur.

The Pacific Ring of Fire or Circum-Pacific Belt is a horseshoe-shaped basin that shows seismically active regions where volcanoes(active), earthquakes, tectonic plates boundaries and epicenters can be found and the Philippines is one of the lists. The Pacific Ring of Fire serves as a guide and it is important because here we can see the countries that are certainly are affected with natural disasters especially volcanic eruption and earthquake and also experts uses this to study more about how and why such events occur. For example, experts look on the volcanic eruption phenomenon by their past and here they can find a pattern and percentages of when could some volcanoes erupt again. Pacific Ring of Fire hands in people with a perspective of disasters but at the same time Pacific Ring of Fire can give benefits to people and one can be when a volcanic activity where there could be a chance of tapping geothermal activity for heating and electricity.

Since the Philippines is in the belt of the Pacific Ring of Fire, in Albay, Manila Philippines, Mt Mayon volcano, its most active volcano, has already erupted 50 times in the last 500 years. The year 1814 was the volcano’s most violent eruption because it caused a massive devastation and killed 1200 people. Not only that year Mayon volcano became an extreme natural event, for example, 5 years ago the volcano once again took 5 lives. According to my research and I saw it on youtube( here’s the link), New Zealand is known for its having active volcanoes too and this year scientists are expecting that a volcanic eruption will occur.
