My City is a Person

Serene, warm, home. My city is the place of my belonging. Every time I take one step over it, it feels like it is beside me and walking with me. It has every part that makes as a whole, like a body. And every part of it has an important function. 

There's the heart, the garden. This is the center of my city. Every inch of it is what I love. My happiness, you can find it there. Without this place, my home will not be complete. It'll not breathe, it's not alive. Trees, flowers, bushes, all of it makes my heart sing. The wonderful pathway that leads to the flower paradise. Fragrance keeps lingering on my nose. Whenever I am there, it's hugging me feels like it is whispering in my ear and says that it loves me too. I am thankful for the way the wind sways the tree, the tweet of the birds filling the surrounding with peace sounds, the sun's light that brightens gives a radiant vibe. My euphoria. 

If you walk over the stairs and see that fancy and majestic structure, lies ahead is the brain of my city. The library is my source of knowledge. The place where you don't need to go outside to explore. An area that helps you escape the reality and travel through dimensions. Every shelf, different feelings, different settings. Giving you a collection of different genres. What is your style? romance? is it fantasy? maybe fiction or non-fiction?. Here while my eyes are wide open and read, I can traverse with only a book in my hands. Well, if I want something new to learn, books don't fail to awe me.

Even reality can astound me sometimes. That's how books teach me. Books can give me more than I want. They say "Ignorance is bliss" however, for me, whenever I am in this special place, I earn wisdom.

Can You Hear It?

The rapid tap of the keyboard here and there. Heat pump's calm releasing warm air and the noise that it's producing. Indistinct voices are trying to hide to not disturb someone's teaching in the front. In the corner, the headphone that is connected to a gadget creates a bee sound but actually is a song. Hidden snore is somewhere in the room, however, no matter how it is trying to make it a secret, a snore is a trap. Secret conversations, indistinguishable noises, a song sounding like a bee, all of them are trying to keep not to be loud for the sake of everyone. Once they are heard by someone in the front, it'll ruin the moments.

Horror Camping Trip

     

The day has finally come that we're going to have our own trip. Me, Maine and Rhan are the best friends of all. We planned so many time to go on the best friends trip but it was always postponed as we are still focusing on our studies and our parents didn't allow us to go. I can't still believe it that we are truly having this day. 

 The smile hasn't wiped off in our face since we found out the good news. What's surprising is that our parents set this trip. They discussed and talked to each other. Well, haven't I told you that my parents and Maine's and Rhan's parents are best friends too? Amazing isn't it?. Curiously, I asked them what changed their minds to let us have our dreamed trip because I know that they are really strict to me. And they said that life is full of stressful and gloomy moments so mind to enjoy our teen life first before we go through the hole of problems. I never asked again. Too much joy was flowing into my blood.
We packed up things we needed. From the small and easy things such as 
hygienic and clothes to the biggest necessity which is the vehicle that we're going to use, the jeep. I don't know what model this is but I know it is a jeep. Rhan is in her legal age and so as she has her own license already. She's the driver.  

From start to finish of our road trip, we've been singing all the way. Laugh here, tease there. It's pure happiness. After the long ride, we halted. We have to walk 3 miles because vehicles can't go in. Wasn't a good idea but worth it. Seeing trees and plants makes me feel safe. The place, it was a forest and it gives me an eerie feeling but I still choose to go because it might be just a negative first impression.

 And I was right. I was right that it's just my intuition. The forest was actually the place I would like to go. The sounds of the birds chirping as they fly through above our heads. Nearby was the river that proudly shows its crystal clear water and its calmness that blends with the ambiance of the forest. The natural sounds that truly shows me the world; plugging me out of the toxic dimension of society. We spent all of the daytime doing activities such as hiking, sight-seeing, animal observing, gather the woods for later and built the tent.
        
 The night took over the daylight. Enthusiastically, we hurriedly bunched up together and surrounded the bonfire. We, trios, love to express our secret and dreams together. But that time shooked the tree of us when Maine had revealed something.

"Something was going on my mind for a while." Maine had her start off.                           
" Is it about studying? If that's the case, please not now " I mockingly said.                     
 "I've been wanting to tell you this but I know you would've freaked out. There's a hungry thing inside me that wants to tell my biggest hidden truth." she continued as she ignored me.                                                              

 "You sounds like absolutely horrific right now."  Rhan nervously uttered.                           
Maine smiled and you can sense the hesitation in her eyes but she is desperate to reveal her secret. " I have a third eye." popping out the bubble of her secret and it's now the truth is released.                                                   

 We fell silent, But she kept on going.                                 

" I was born with this and ever since I can see something that a normal person can't. I hated it when I realized that this ability of mine is that me seeing creatures that are so awful and frightful. Until the time came that I just have to embrace it and just let it be. I still hate it but I feel sad that those what I see are lost souls and I can't help them." still we are in awe.   
      
 " Even here in this forest, I can see new lost souls but I don't want to say it to you because it would spoil the camp and trip" she confessed. We looked up to each other and ran to the tent. Not minding the foods that we left beside the bonfire.

We didn't sleep that night until in the morning. The two of us, Rhan and me, didn't grasp the revelation at first yet we managed to ask for more information about Maine's ability. We were so close to each other and there was a time that I have to pee but I can't go outside alone so we together slowly walked outside the dark. Cowardly, we entered the tent again as we heard something in the bush. 


   That day will be remembered as it was the creepiest time of my life,

Unexpected Wealth

          It was our vacation at my mother's grandmother's town when something spectacular happened to my life. I didn't know that that spectacular will shake my life. Even my family made a complex situation. How? It all started when I was dusting off the precious garage of my mother's grandmother.

Vacation in Care ( pronounced as ka-re), Tarlac City 

          Today is the day we're going to visit my beloved grandmother. I call her apu. I don't know what does that mean but my apu really like us her grandchildren calling her that. By the way, she's aged already. Well, my grandmother is my mother's grandmother. I expect that everyone will be shocked if they hear me say that my mother's grandmother is still alive and I'm not lying.  She's 102 years old. Lucky her. I want to live long like her. Based on my mother's stories about apu, she lived happily and still living with delight in her heart. She's really old and I am sad that the reality might hit me that one day she'll eventually cease. I love her so much. And I always anticipate on going to her house. This is it! My waiting has finished and I am going to see her now.
         
         When we got there, I saw the giant gates in front of us. It is rusted, some parts of it crooked but you can perceive that these gates had been through a lot. My apu doesn't have any bodyguards but she has maids and they are the one who opened the gates. There's no fountain or fancy car in front of the house but in the front wall underneath, there carved some historic events. Apu preserved those. She said to me that those carved events are really precious especially to their ancestors. Their ancestors are the one that is carved on the wall, I mean our ancestors. Then after that, the big wooden door which has aged too will welcome you. I still remember when I came here for the first time, I can't hold the knob because I can't reach it so I have to wait for my parents first to open the door. The maids are busy preparing to surprise us that's why no one was opening the door. 

          The house or mansion will not give you a spooky feeling unlike when you enter other old mansions. It has a friendly look in it and you will feel comfortable. As we enter the mansion, a feast was the first thing you'll see. The big table is pulling us over to munch the delicious foods it is serving. But of course, for me, apu is the priority even though I am arguing with my own stomach. I'm heading to the room of my apu. There's no second or third floor in this house. It is just a long and wide house. Then I saw apu's room door. Her room is the finest of all the room in the mansion. I knocked and afterward I enter. She knows that it's me when someone has opened her door without her permission. I saw her looking outside the window sitting in her rocking chair. Antiques are everywhere. From the beads she has received when she was a little and up to the bed her weak body she had and will lean to. I called her and she looked at me. Smile has drawn into her wrinkled face. Signs of aging are perceived in her. She's beautiful.     

             I said hi to her and kissed her. I call her apu while she calls me apo which means grandchild. " Oh apo, how are you? I missed you a lot." she cheerfully said despite having a raspy voice. " I am doing well apu. I missed you a lot too. Have you been bored without me?" I asked her. "Of course I am!. I've been waiting for you for a long time. The maids here don't really know how to entertain me unlike you" she answered. " What did you do then?" I replied. " I just sit here in the window and reminisce the time when we are together or when the time when I was a little" she responded. My heart broke into pieces hearing her words. " I'm sorry apu for not visiting you earlier. Tatay (father) and Nanay (mother) just won't drive onto you." I sadly mumbled. " It's alright apo. I understand you just please let's be happy today okay?. I might pass away anytime and I want to spend time with my favorite and best granddaughter first before that happens" she innocently said to me and I uttered angrily and pleading " No, no, no don't say that apu. I will visit you always I promise just please don't say that okay?" I'm almost crying but she just smile and told me this. " We don't hold our lives apo. We don't know if when our time is up but at least I know that I'm happy before I'll die and that's what is important. So before I say goodbye to you I want you to go to the garage and go to the lowest cabinet and there you will see a little door Open it you will see something in there. Please keep those treasures and if you want to use them when you're in need then use it." 

             That's the last things she said to me and then she went to her bed and sleep. I'm not sure if what she's saying is true but I want to check it. I went to the garage that night when all of my relatives and family have fallen into sleep. I turn the switch on and some unuseful stuff are stacked in here. I head into the cabinets and I found the lowest one. I slowly opened it but I heard some thud on the floor.  And I stopped waiting for the thud to come to me. It has a fast thud. A dog. It was a dog! Oh my goodness I was so nervous! It was just Bruno, my grandmother's beloved dog. After that, I continued looking for the treasures. I opened the cabinet and I saw the little door grandmother is talking about. I removed the metal that keeps it locked and there I saw a box of money. Old money. They are in a bunch and behind the box is a small chest. It contains jewelry but there is something more important than that. A photo.The photo of my apu and her husband, my grandfather which I didn't have a chance to see. I just heard him in the stories of my grandma and they really love each other. I teared up. The treasure is not the money but the photo. It is worth more than the box of money. This photo carries a million memories. And I am sure that I'll cherish it forever.

              It's not you, it's me. I am giving my full effort to extract something from my creative mind but you are just a hindrance. You are pulling back what I extracted and crushing it into pieces until it blows away. I told you it's not you, it's me. And it always should be me. I am in charge of doing my work and oh well, your job is to block me. Great!. Now, what do I do?. Such a nuisance. Okay, I'm trying to be productive and produce something that would satisfy my soul and also to my dear readers. I just can't believe you are striking me at this moment that I am in rush. I have to finish my story or else it will be a waste of opportunity. I am working on this story because, after a thousand years of waiting, a publishing company has accepted my story. I've been waiting for this and please don't ruin it.

              I know eliminating you will be hard. You're just a part of me and you're still not me, never ever. If only I can face you right now,I will really punch you hard until you fly to Mars and never come back to me. Can you see how exaggerated am I? That's how desperate I am to terminate you. BUT HOW? HOW CAN I TERMINATE YOU?. Gosh. I hope you see that I'm getting frustrated and you made it worse.

           
             Do you still remember the days that you are so helpful? When you know that I'm stressed up, you showed up. I thank you for that, genuinely. Because of you, I meditated and realized that I need time to relax too. That I have to give myself a break and plug out of the world. And by that, you have been helping me to find the best ideas for my creative stories. 

              You have been behaving well lately but you are annoying me today. You are so annoying, annoying, annoying, and annoying, and annoying again. Ha! Hope you consider me by this letter. Just you wait. I'm going to find a way to eliminate you. It's just only for a day so please consider. You wait okay? You really should.

Annoying Orange on a talk show

The talk show is almost starting. Annoying Orange is the main guest. But before she goes to her own stage, she found someone to annoy. She said, “ Hey you snail!”. As expected of the snail, it slowly turned around to the Annoying Orange. “ Yeeeeees?” answered the snail with a deep voice and slow tempo. “ You really are a snail” stated the Annoying Orange. “ Ooof cooourse, I aaaaam. Neeeveer diiid I chaaaange” innocently answered the snail. “ You are so slimy. Leaving tracks on the floor and slipping people. Aren’t you disgusted with yourself?” asked Annoying Orange. “ Ohhh, I’mmmm not. I aaaccept myself and I knoooow theee staffs here knoooowww. And we have our utiiilityyyy membeeers hereeee sooo whyyy botheerrrr? asked back the snail. “ Oh my goodness nevermind” disappointed Annoying Orange.

After the conversation about the Annoying Orange and the snail, she was called by the emcee of the show which named Spidee and obviously, a spider.

“Please welcome the unique and one and only living orange in the world, Annoying Orange!!!!. Around of applause everybody!”. A loud cheer and claps are given to Annoying Orange. She is really a boastful orange. She is a popular one, that’s why. But little did she know someone created a prank on her. Since they know that she always annoys everyone and she is definitely a proud one of herself, they put a poop on the stage. Well, just a fake poop.

Creative Writing : Chocolate pool

Walking into a giant pool, I didn’t know that it would look something like mud. Where I was standing was slippery and lead to fall into the pool. It doesn’t feel like the splash of the normal swimming pool. Sticky and smooth. But it was dark. As I gasped for air, I drank the water. Guess what? Tasty. 

The soothing sweetness that I taste inside my mouth is addicting. What is this? I’m drowning as well as chucking the liquid sinking my whole body. The air was running out in my lungs. I flap my hands to bring me up to this stucking liquid. Difficult is the best definition while I was doing this. What’s worse is that I can’t see anything. Well, it looks like mud but didn’t expect that it would be gloomy down here. It was sticky and it took me longer to see outside world again. I filled my lungs with air. It was the first thing I do. As I calm down, I smelled the mud-like liquid. It smells caramel with sugar and honey aroma in it. Tasting it this time was different. It was really defined this time.

Creative Writing: Falling

Turbulence hits the plane I’m riding at. Panicking people are all over my surroundings. While me, I’m not into reality yet. The pilot said it will be dangerous if we will stay longer in the plane. We need to use parachutes to get down. Unfortunately, there were too many people rode in this plane. Parachutes are not sufficient for all of the people inside this ravaging plane. Any moment it will break down. I was not on the right mind, I jumped. 

Feels like I’m in the cloud nine. I don’t care for anyone anymore. I closed my eyes. Cherishing the tenderness of the clouds. The clouds are wooshing to my face and it feels light. I’m in a rapid fall. I don’t feel scared at all, in fact, this is exciting. I’m really not on the right mind. I’m going to die already yet I’m still thinking about these clouds touching my face. Afterward, I can’t feel the sweet touch of clouds anymore. I opened my eyes and I see those infrastructures on their miniature form. I’m flying. 

Any moment, I would fall to the ground. I spread my arms like wings. So this is the feeling of flying. The sense of freedom is all I can feel. Ironic huh. Freedom feeling eventually I would be dead. The buildings start to grow bigger and closer. Maybe I’m only 1 kilometer ahead from the ground. But as I observe to where I’m heading to, I saw blue. Blue? Why blue?. Oh! Ocean. I’m falling down to the ocean. 1 meter more. Then I splash to the water. The hard splash of water welcomes me. I feel nothing.

Passion Project

 There are so many things I am passionate about. I am passionate about reading, singing, drawing, learning, and many other things. For this project, I would like to feature He's Into Her book by Maxinejiji. 

He's Into Her has 3 seasons. This story is in written with mixed Filipino, English and Korean language which are the language I use and am interested in. I picked this story because it is not a cliche like many stories out there. Not that I am belittling other stories but this story just has something in it that will live and have a special space in my heart. 

I maybe read this book 3 or 4 times? and I am still planning to read it again. I want to recommend it to everybody but sadly this book is mostly written in Filipino. If that's the case, I'll just give you the summary of the book.

SUMMARY
Season 1

This is the start of the meeting of the two main characters. Deib Lohr Enrile is a famous, heart-throb, rich ( grandson of the Dean of the school Brint International School), but he's a bully. It was a start of the new school year and he promised that he will no longer bully others since he's a graduating student yet destiny's betraying him. Along the corridor., he saw a not sexy but also not a chubby girl which made an eye-contact with him. There was something mysterious in the girl that made him do what he mustn't do. He trips her. After that everything was a mess. He wouldn't believe that the girl he tripped will punch him in return. Then, their journey begins.
Deib didn't know that the girl named, Max, will be his match. What I mean in 'match' is that he found someone that will fight back in his silly actions. From all the people he bullied, there's no any moment that someone fought back to him and even though they want to fight back,it will be just a waste of time because people will stand onto Deib's side. Maxpein Zin Del Valle, a girl that has a cold personality. She's not the typical girl you will know. She's unique. She's strong, dignified, intelligent but she's kind of fat, disrespectful, and always unresponsive. Because of what she did, she became the school's target to bully at. She's taking her step in that school to experience hell. 

Deib's popularity really has his name in the school. What he did was seen by most of the students and unhappily, his schoolmates reflected on what he did. Deib was a heartthrob so many women are going crazy over him, no wonder they victimized Max by their foolish and trash acts. 
In this season, it is all about the bullying stuff and kind of presenting the characters.

TWTWB Revision

Tomorrow, When the War Began-Revision

The title of the Novel ‘Tomorrow, When the War Began’, suggests both the future and the past. Why do you think the author chose this title.                                                     

 -The author chose this title cause for me after reading the book, the title really suits with the plot of the story and this title kinda makes a mysterious effect that urges readers to read it. The author chose this title to create curiosity in his reader's mind, persuade them to enter the book and feed them information to ease their curiosity.

Homer and Lee reacted in different ways to Ellie’s camping trip invitation. Why? Consider the personality and the background of both boys and explain your ideas in your answer.

-Homer did react immediately after Ellie’s proposal for the camping trip invitation, he even asked his parent’s permission after the invitation. Since these two had their bond together which they already treat brothers and sisters each other it was so easy for Ellie to convince Homer and also based on my perception to Homer’s personality, he always wants to have fun and try new things. Meanwhile, Lee was kind of second thinking to Ellie’s invitation. We know Lee’s character as distant and silent this way shows that it was a shock for Ellie that Lee was convinced to go. If you’ll read the book , Lee’s reaction doesn’t even have a sense of excitement in his tone which is more understandable due to his isolated personality,

Ellie felt uneasy before she left Hell, and she had begun to make some connections. Why was she afraid to ask questions?

-It is because she’s afraid to crack the ball that the fact that she is the one who encourages everyone to be in this trip so she needs to lead them. She is afraid that she might make a nonsense idea and might ruin the exciting trip.

The role of leader immediately fell to Ellie’s shoulders when the group realised the calamity of the situation. Why was that a natural reaction? What about Ellie’s character inspired her friends to trust her as a leader?

-Like what I’ve said before, she formed this trip so she is responsible for all of them. But also based on Ellie’s personality, she is brave enough to lead the group.

Millie and Flip were the two main pets written about in the novel. If you were in Ellie’s of Kevin’s situation, would you choose to endanger the group in an effort to keep your pet with you?

-No. I know the importance of my pet and my friends but sacrificing the important people in my life is much worse than keeping my friends while I’ve lost my pet. Besides, my pet might survive the war because as far as I know, they have their own sense of survival when it comes to this situation.

Think about Homer. He was ‘wild, outrageous. He didn't care what he did or what anyone thought’; yet Homer turns out to make good decisions. Why did this transformation occur?

-He’s maturing. We don’t know what is in Homer’s head so maybe he’s already realizing the bad things he did. Or maybe he is really like this but people just can’t see this side of him cause they are paying attention to what his bad side where is.

Robyn’s character is deeply religious. Why do you think the author added her character to the story? What sort of balance (or imbalance) does she bring?

-There will always be a good one in a circle group of friends. The author added her to balance the characters in the story. It seems to be more realistic that there is someone religious in the group. Especially that Robyn created a big part in the story as she became one of the leaders of the group. And her thinking is so useful when it comes to the decision making of the group.

When Ellie found Chris asleep during his sentry duty, she was ultimately shocked at the violence of her reaction. Was her reaction justifies? Explain your opinion?

-If I’m on her shoes. I would act the same as hers. The friends has already come far from what’ve they experience from this kind of unrealistic time of their life where war began and they fought for their lives. Chris falling asleep in this situation is so unacceptable, that all of their fights might come to nothing with his irresponsible action. And Ellie as the person who was one saw all the hardships they came through, has the rights to shout on him. 

Kevin is depicted as a coward at the beginning of the book. Do you think he redeems himself at the end? Explain your opinion

-Of course, yes. It was a coward of him in the start, the book admitted it. But he took all of that when he decided to fight for his love of Corrie. Not everyone will do that, risking their lives for their loved ones. And also in their age, they are still teenagers but what he did is amazing. Maybe he’s a coward from the start because he wants to play safe.

The group of teenagers broke many laws throughout the novel. Describe five actions they committed that broke a law. Do you think their actions were justified?

-Breaking into people’s house, driving cars without a license, taking cars not their own, killing people, and stealing things. Yes.these are all justified. Like what Homer said, it is already a war why think to all the rules?. Would you care for the rules even though you are in the middle of death? 

The novel was very much about the invasion of Australia, yet the relationships between the friends are documented quite often by Ellie. Why do you think that is?

-Because friendship is what saved them from all the trials they experienced in the war. Because of their friendship they made it possible to save each other, friendship made them build confidence and courage to fight for their freedom, friendship made them strong.

Many invaders died in the novel, with no casualties in Ellie’s group. Do you think that it is fairer if the enemy dies? Or does it become fair when both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ sides die?

-If this is war, why would they even care for that?. Yes, it is not fair to kill someone and to see people die but isn’t obvious that this is war? Death, chaos, fights are expected so nothing is fair cause life and death is something that isn’t measured by quantity but the importance of it.

The novel reminds us that even in times of chaos and trauma, the human spirit will always triumph. Do you agree? Explain your opinion.

-Yes. With the human spirit, they manage to overcome all the chaos and trauma. The human spirit is a big deal that means so much in it. Without the human spirit, independence and freedom won’t be achieved.

Do you think that it is friendship and family, and not revenge that provides the motives for the characters’ action in the novel? Explain your opinion.

-No. If we’re going to look up all the actions of the characters in the story, you could sense the anger and revenge to it. Hence, it was all combination of friendship, family, and revenge. It is just they have no enough power to take revenge on them or what we not expect is that they might take revenge in the next book of the story. After all, they admit it to themselves when they are talking about the war especially Kevin.

There are four female and four male main characters in the story. Why do you think this is? Would the story be different if the ratio was changed?

-Because in the first part of the story, you will read that Corrie and Ellie are not allowed to have boys on their trip but in the end, they managed to convince their parents to have boys in their trip. This is the ratio of the group to balance the people. It creates more sense since almost everyone in a couple except for Robyn and Chris. Yes, it would be different if the ratio has changed.

Tomorrow, When the War Began, shows us that war always brings out the worst in people. Do you agree? Use three examples from the text to support your opinion.                              -Yes. 

• Ellie killing people.
• Them bombing the bridge.
• Kevin’s cowardness.

All of the rules they broke for the sake of fighting in the war.

Which character in the novel is the most ‘useless’ in your opinion, why? What could be changed about this character in order to make them more useful?

-It’s obviously Chris. He had the most comfortable condition among all of the characters in the story. I found it so dumb for him to stay only in his house not finding for solutions to look for someone who can help him or he can help. He is so irresponsible to give not care to what duty is given to him. It would be more useful of him if he tried to get out of his comfort zone and tried to help somebody from his town or he can even get out of his house and observe the sentries and them make up a plan to make himself safe,

What would you say was the overall message of the novel? What parting wisdom did John Marsden intend you to uncover in his story?

-Life is full of surprises is the overall message of the novel. Nothing.

Whose voice is not heard in this story? Why do you think the author has not included their thoughts and opinions.

-The Invaders. I think it will be clearer if he inserted the invader's point of view. John didn’t include theirs because it will ruin the flow of the story, especially that the story is centered to the teenagers’ experience and story.

-Invaders’ POV

           It was a long and disastrous war isn’t? Well, what would you expect? It’s a war after all. We are not actually wanting this to happen but since we are suffering from all of our country’s problem we needed to do this. We all know that it is not fair for your side but we have no choice. Yet it is also unfair that your country is rich so we made a way to share with your blessings. We are not blessed with those kind of natures you have so we need to divided it. We can also build forces for the other invaders that will try to invade you, well, you don’t have any choice but to joined forces with us since you don’t have enough equipment so be thankful to us. We hope you see the different side of this war. Sorry not sorry.

2. Life is full of a mess but there will be always for you to experience joy. You need to stay strong whatever tribulations will come into your life, fight until you gain your freedom. 
3. Being a coward is not a choice, it’s nonsense. 
4. There will be always a reason for you start a new life again.
5. Despite the fact that a something is labeled as bad, there will be a good and wonderful side of it.
6. There will be a payment for all the happiness you get.
7. Everyone has their own, story to tell but it is just they need to tell the world.

1. “The biggest risk is to take no risks”(Chapter 9) this quote shows how he conveyed the message that bravery and courage are vital in this time of their life and the choice of being coward was never a good idea.
2. “In the midst of death we are in life”(Chapter 10)This could be the message that life is full of a mess but there will be always for you to experience joy. You need to stay strong whatever tribulations will come into your life, fight until you gain your freedom. 
3. “Why did people call it Hell? I wondered. All those cliffs and rocks, and that vegetation, it did look wild. But wild wasn't Hell. Wild was fascinating, difficult, wonderful.” (Chapter 4).The quote is the best meaning of the conveyed message that despite the fact that a something is labeled as bad, there will be a good and wonderful side of it.
4. “People just sticking names on places, so that no one could see those places properly anymore. Every time they looked at them or thought about them the first thing they saw was a huge big sign saying 'Housing Commission' or 'private school' or 'church' or 'mosque' or 'synagogue'. They stopped looking once they saw those signs.”(Chapter 4) and “It’s terribly, terribly important recording what we’ve done, in words, on paper, it’s got to be our way of telling ourselves that we mean something, that we matter. That the things we’ve done have made a difference. I don’t know how big a difference, but a difference. Writing it down means we might be remembered. And by God that matters to us. None of us wants to end up as a pile of dead white bones, unnoticed, unknown, and worst of all, with no one knowing or appreciating the risks we’ve run.” (Chapter 1) These two quotes represent the message that there are some stories that need to be out in this world.

-Writing their story was hard to write when she started it but it’s also hard to write the ending.
How is her story the same as what the Hermit left in his box?
-They also use Hell for safety place, someone made them run far away from their true home and both of their loved ones are hurt but for different reasons.
How has Ellie’s view of Kevin changed from what she thought of him in the beginning?
-He gained trust from her. Just from what he did for Corrie, sacrificing and leaving all behind the friends and love for Corrie was courageous and heart melting. And also he didn’t make them put into danger by not saying where his friends are staying.
What do you think will happen to Corrie and Kevin? 
-I think Corrie will be staying in the hospital for many weeks for her treatment. Kevin’s will be going to be interrogated or he may be treated like the others in the Showground.
