Tomorrow, When The War Began ( 17- 22)
Can Do Tasks: Select two of the following tasks to complete and post to your blog. 

RESEARCH - Research author John Marsden. Who was he and why was he inspired to write Tomorrow, When the War Began.  What other books has he written. Present your information in a poster, slideshow or video. 
VOCABULARY - Find the meanings of the following words, write the meaning using your own words. 
DIGITAL ART- Using Thinglink, create an interactive image of your favourite character. Include information about them, important moments they have in the story, some of their quotes and what they bring to the story.
CREATE- Make a promotional digital poster to encourage others to read Tomorrow, When the War Began. Make sure to include a synopsis, rating, character & author info and some interactive features. 


VOCABULARY

Manslaughter-  immoral killing of a human being.
Aggravated- made someone irritated or exasperated
Guerillas- a group that created a force to fight without any connections to the government.
Interject- suddenly disturb someone who’s taking his own statement
Smug- showing extravagant pride after one’s achievement
Vicious- having the intention of being harmful, savage and dangerous
Emphatically- to say and act in a forceful way
Scuffle- a few numbers of people who are involved in a short fight
Sideswipe- doing a glancing blow together with a strike
Elated- euphoric, someone who got really happy
